Anti-war actions in the military

Found a good article online by John Letman, basically a review of the book The Will to Resist: Soldiers who refuse to fight in Iraq and Afghanistan by Dahr Jamail, published this year by Haymarket Books. I haven't read or seen the book; according to Letman's review, the book traces the steadily growing resistance to the wars among soldiers in the U.S. military, and also addresses related issues, such as violence and sexual assault against women soldiers, homophobia in the military, post-traumatic stress disorder, etc.

The article, in the website of IPS News, is here.

The publisher's webpage for the book is here, and includes YouTube videos of author Jamail reading from the book and an interview with him from March 2008.

Thanks also to Philip Metres, who posted about the book in his blog Behind the Lines.
