Some AWP events this week

A few events at AWP this week that are high-priority for me:

"Poetry's Electronic Communities," panel featuring Bruce Covey, Stephanie Young, Amy King, Robin Beth Schaer, Eileen Tabios, and Stephanie Strickland, at 4:30 on Thursday.

"Poetry of Resilience," panel featuring Valzhyna Mort, Brian Turner, Kwame Dawes, Alison Granucci, and Katja Esson, at 1;30 on Friday.

"New Poetry from Chile, Cuba, and Mexico: A Reading," featuring Daniel Burzutsky, Roberto Tejada, Jen Hofer, Kristin Dykstra, Brian Whitener, and Laura Solozano, at 3:00 on Friday.

"A Tribute to Gwendolyn Brooks," featuring Quraysh Ali Lansana, Lucille Clifton, Michael Harper, and Major Jackson, at 8:30 on Friday.

"Four Invisible Poets," panel featuring Glenna Luschei, John Bradley, John Crawford, and George Kalamaras, at 12:00 on Saturday.

"Tribute to Tom McGrath," panel featuring Reginald Gibbons, Doren Robbins, Glenn Sheldon, and Robin Behn, at 3:00 on Saturday.

I'll also be dropping by the table for The Backwaters Press at the AWP Bookfair -- the press has just published Eating the Pure Light: Homage to Thomas McGrath, a poetry anthology edited by John Bradley -- the anthology includes a poem of mine. The book doesn't show in the publisher's website yet -- it just came out this past week -- as soon as it shows in the website, I'll post a direct link to the publisher's webpage for the book. The above link is to the publisher's main page.

I've written previously in the blog about Tom McGrath, here, here, and here.

Comments:
I just wanted to compliment you on your enlightening blog (which I discovered recently). I'm looking forward to reading more and perhaps getting a hold of one of your books.

Michael
